The Buffalo Rose has teamed up with “Denver’s Best Big Band” to bring you an afternoon of excellent food and great music. This unique event happens on the second Sunday of every month (with a couple of exceptions) in 2021.

Sunday, June 6, the Buffalo Rose will feature another delicious Sunday Supper Club menu, from executive chef, Jan Vonad.  The delicious 3-course meal is only $18 with admission, and can be ordered at the dance.

It’s served up against a background of American Swing Era music by the Flatirons Jazz Orchestra – featuring Deborah Stafford.

Doors open at at 4:00, with FREE Beginner Swing Dance Lesson, followed by two-and-a-half hours of live BIG BAND jazz from 5:00 to 7:30

You and your family don’t want to miss this! Tickets are $20 day-of or at the door, or only $15 online in advance; $33 includes dinner if you book online.  Seating is limited.

Dance or just listen to the great Swing Era music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and more. Singles, Beginners and All ages welcome, 18+ with guardian.

FJO is a traditional 18-piece BIG BAND that authentically recreates the romance and excitement of the Swing-Era, with dance music by Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, Gene Krupa, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Diane Schuur, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich, and more.

Composed of the region’s most outstanding professional musicians, and one of the finest jazz singers in the country, this is swing dance music that will have everyone on their feet.  FJO mixes swinging classics with smoky ballads and easy-listening concert pieces; something for everyone.  Rated “Best Big Band in Denver” by CBS Local, and “One of the 10 Best Jazz Bands in Denver” by ReverbNation.

The Buffalo Rose

The Rose main venue and lobby offers roughly 6500 square feet of Art Deco glamour. Enter under the grand marquee on Washington Avenue and you’re immediately transported back in time to the great  American theaters of the early 20th century. The Lobby features lounge-style seating, classic parlor games, and four big-screen television. Guests pass by a fully stocked bar as they enter into the main venue space with soaring ceilings, bold steel trusses, elegant lighting and original brick walls. The Rose also features a concert-quality sound system, a large video projection system, a full-sized dance floor and an elevated stage enabling comprehensive entertainment options.

PARKING: 

There are two public parking garages conveniently located within a block of The Buffalo Rose: between Jackson St. and Prospector’s Alley, and between 11th and 13th Streets.
