Free Concert – Downtown Winter Park

Thursday, July 20, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, the Rendezvous Park stage will feature American Swing Era classics by the Flatirons Jazz Orchestra – featuring Deborah Stafford.  This concert is free, but get there early for the best seats

Gates open at 4:00, Show starts at 6:00 with two hours of live BIG BAND jazz.  All ages welcome.  Chairs are provided or bring a blanket and a picnic.

We’re a traditional 18-piece BIG BAND that authentically recreates the romance and excitement of the Swing Era.  We play the classic American jazz of Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, Gene Krupa, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Diane Schuur, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich, and more.

FJO mixes swinging classics with smoky ballads and easy-listening concert pieces; something for everyone.  FJO is composed of the region’s most outstanding professional musicians, and one of the finest jazz singers in the country. This is s music that will have everyone on their feet.
