The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra – featuring Deborah Stafford at the NEW Dazzle

Dazzle Jazz presents
After the Bomb – The Post WWII Big Bands

Join us Monday night, June 17, at the NEW DCPA LOCATION for an all-new show in the “Stories of Standards” series.

This show explores the evolution of jazz from the late ‘40s through the ‘80s, as big bands struggled to stay relevant in the Age of Rock & Roll.  Featuring music from Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Dianne Schuur, and the great big bands: Basie, Kenton, Ellington, Herman, Goodman, Dorsey, Buddy Rich, and more.  Inspired by the “Stories of Standards” on KUVO, this popular series looks deeper into the artists and history behind the music.

One show, 6:30 to 8:00.  Doors open at 5:30. Reserved seating so get your great seats now.

  • Premium Banquettes, Front of Stage  – $35
  • Regular Banquettes, Right or Left of House  – $25
  • Stage Left and Right  – $20

(plus fees) online

These shows sell out early, so advanced tickets are strongly recommended

The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra – featuring Deborah Stafford, is a traditional 18-piece big band that authentically recreates the great Swing-Era music of Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, Gene Krupa, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Diane Schuur, Buddy Rich, and more.

This is the REAL DEAL: 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, guitar, bass, drums, and one of the best jazz singers in the country.
