Piet Kallemeyn – Trombone

Raised in Castle Rock, Colorado, Pieter has been playing trombone since elementary school.  He first played big band swing music with his high school’s jazz band, where he fell in love with the classic tunes of Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Count Basie and many more.  In addition to the Flatirons Jazz Orchestra, he performs with the Denver Concert Band and has played with the Metro State Community Concert Band, Malley Swing and Dance Band, and the “Slide Rule” Trombone Choir.  Pieter is excited to be a member of the Flatirons Jazz Orchestra.
