Ray Harrison

  • Ray Harrison is a cum laude graduate of Chapman University, Orange, California where he studied choral music with Richard Raub and William Hall. Before moving to Colorado in 1982, he was a professional singer and a member of the William Hall Chorale and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

    Ray has been involved in education since his move to Colorado in 1982. He taught at Boulder High School, Longmont High School and at Niwot High School, where he was twice named Educator of the Year.

    Ray served as the Fine Arts Coordinator for the St. Vrain Valley School District, where he supervised the Art and Music programs. At the state level, he was named Chairman of the Music Standards Task Force by the Colorado Department of Education, and was responsible for writing the Model Content Standards for Music Education K-12.

    Ray retired from public education in 2004, and is an Associate Pastor and Worship Leader with Restoration Messianic Fellowship in Boulder, where he has served for the last nineteen years.

    Ray is currently a member of the Flatirons Jazz Orchestra and Swing Shift Band as a pianist.
